Good morning, I hope you found time over the weekend for some R&R. Today's message "Seek Signs Prior To Engaging" All to often we make decisions without seeking council. In the book of Judges it speaks of the valiant warrior Gideon. He was given the assignment by God “YHWH” to deliver Israel from the hand of Midian. Now, what we must know is Gideon was from a family who was least in the tribe of Manasseh, and he was the youngest in His fathers house. This was a reminder for me that our King doesn't select His warriors base on their ability as much as He does their availability and there obedience to follow His instructions. As one can only imagine how Gideon felt, that he was the one to lead the charge to free YHWH's children. Prior to moving forward, God assured Him that He would be with him. Gideon still unsure, requested that He provide a sign for Him. God delivered on this, but even after receiving the sign Gideon requested another sign, and God granted the second sign. As it ended up Gideon was victorious in the battle, because our God was with him and went before him. We to should seek and request signs from YHWH prior to moving forward with anything we do, whether big or small. We all have plans, but what we must understand is that we can save a lot of time and headaches when we seek the counsel of our King.
