MESSAGES

"Self-Control"

Fellow Warrior,

I pray your week was very productive and that you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend! This is Isaiah, Cliff's son, and I will be writing today's message "Self-Control" In life, certain emotions can get the best of us and take control of the way we act. This is sometimes unavoidable, so we must be aware of it. When you're frustrated you might end up saying something that you didn't really mean to say. Therefore, when you are feeling strong emotion, take a 5-minute break from whatever you're doing, close your eyes, and ask God to help you manage the way you're feeling. Bursting out in a fit of rage is the last thing God wants you to do when faced with a frustrating event or challenge. He gave us emotions and it is up to us to take control of them and use them in their intended way. Feeling any kind of emotion, even anger, isn't necessarily a bad thing, however, an emotion shouldn't prompt us to act out against someone or something. Again, I pray that your week was blessed and that you have a FANTASTIC, relaxing weekend! Stay strong and let nothing stand in your path towards the Kingdom.

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city.
