MESSAGES

"Balancing Desires"

Fellow Warrior,

I pray that you're week is off to a productive start. This is Isaiah and I will be writing today's message "Balancing Desires" Let's face it. We, as humans, can idolize anything this material world has to offer. If we don't utilize the self-control fruit, God starts fading away from the forefront of our minds and is replaced by something else like a boat, car, house, etc. Until you realize that getting close to God means prioritizing Him first, you are taking away the opportunity to learn more about God and His ways. How are we to speak into people's lives if we can't even sit down for 15 minutes to read scripture? I'll use myself as an example. I really enjoy playing video games, sometimes too much. As long as I'm doing what I can to avoid letting video games take highest priority in my life, there comes a balancing of desires with the Father at the forefront. God understands the struggles humans go through to resist the flesh. Are your desires balanced? Do you believe that studying scripture is important when speaking into people's lives? I encourage you to look at your own priorities and seek to find the right balance. I pray you have a wonderful rest of your day! Stay strong!

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
