Warrior,
Good evening, I hope you had a GREAT day. Today's message "Distressed" For life has a way of confronting us with stress and anxiety. The question is, how do we handle these feelings. Do we run to the doctor for a prescription that masks the issues that are causing us distress? Or maybe you're the one who places the load on your shoulders and carries it through life. For we know that either of the examples shared are not good and healthy ways for one to overcome their distress. In my devotion today, I was reminded of how King David addressed distress. For he cried out to our God "YHWH" and said "Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged. Bring me out of my distresses. Look at my misery and my trouble, and forgive all my sins." What a great example this is for us. If you're facing challenges / trials that cause you distress, I encourage you to let go and let YHWH take the load. For He tells us "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Live on this promise from our King and live in peace. Have a GREAT evening and know that the God you and I serve, knows our every need. And He knows them even before it becomes our need. You think about that. Blessings!
